What is Private Equity?
We invest in privately-held companies (not listed in stock exchanges) by acquiring shares directly from shareholders (cashout or secondary transactions) or via a capital increase (cash-in, or primary transactions). In certain cases, a cash-in transaction may take place via a debt instrument, convertible into shares.
What is Arpejo’s role in invested companies?
Differently from most private equity firms, we necessarily have a management or leadership role in our invested companies, with the specifics of this role defined on a case by case basis, however always in the day to day operation of the company.
How do you differentiate yourselves from other private equity investors?
We bring extensive management and operating transformation experience and leadership into our invested companies. We like the “factory floor” and we operate from inside.
Who are Arpejo’s investors?
Our standard format is to organize a “club deal” in which we seek aligned investors with our thesis, within a network of potential investors, for each type of opportunity. We also invest proprietary capital in all our deals.
